Guruji's Teachings - 4
About Guru and Disciple
Guruji says Disciple is like a thread. A thread does not have any scent to it. Based on the flowers tied to the thread also gets the scent of the flower. In same manner based on Guru a devotee seeks he gets powers of Guru.
Guru is like pot full of water, a well with water. Even if some of it is given to disciples none of his powers goes down. Fire gives its intensity in same manner irrespective of whether we put wood or Iron or Gold. But when taken out of fire their form changes accordingly. Even gold shines only when it is polished. When one seeks a Satguru and follows his path, Guru grants equal powers to disciple.
Everyone has to go to the well to drink water, but well does not come to us. Guruji says Lord told him to serve whoever recognizes him and comes to him and serve him. A person wearing ochre robes, wearing rudraksha and wants to acquire money is not a proper Guru. A person who serves all beings without any selfishness, who takes care of people who come to him at all times and helps them overcome problems of the world and gradually leads them to the path of God and helps them attain Moksha is a Satguru. We cannot taste a sweet just by looking at its shape and smelling it. Only when we eat with happiness we can taste the sweetness. In the same manner a person who can help get grace of God in shortest time is a Satguru. A satguru has divine powers in his speech. His powers will be so great that he can help his disciples escape the adverse effects of Karma, reduce effect of adverse Karma, command nature. God grants such powers to Guru and tells him not to waste those powers and use them for selfish purposes. If Guru continues to serve unselfishly God grants such Satguru more powers.
Man may think we have done lot of sins in this life and previous lives. Is it possible to get grace of God without undergoing suffering for all the sins committed? In earlier ages people used to follow lot of austerities and hence they were easily able to get God's Grace. But God says he treats every one equal and loves everyone equally. But man looses trust and faith in God and keeps committing sins and goes away from God. When a devotee takes one step towards God, he takes ten steps towards devotee. It is not necessary for every human to live his Karma because of his previous births, but by seeking a Satguru, one cane minimize this karma.
A child may play with his excreta through ignorance but as he grows up he not only realizes that his mistake but prevents others from doing the same. In this manner a man who knows his mistakes and avoids repeating those mistakes and takes name of God with help of a Satguru, he not only gets grace of God, but he can see God and even get moksha (no rebirth).
