Driving a truck to get a sofa

Kishore

It was a few months are coming to US. I have shared my experiences of how I have acquired driving license and got courage to drive in US. During all this period my faith was in God was strong and led me to handle stress very well with gratitude to God.

One of my friends offered to give his sofa to me at a lower rate as he was going back to India. Now the challenge was to bring the sofa from his place to my place. Of course unlike in India, we have to do lot of things on our own in US. And I had the task of renting a truck and driving it all the way home which is around 25 miles far. Since I was settling down just then, I didn't have enough driving experience to be able to take up the task of driving a mini truck.

But with firm faith in God, I believed that I can achieve all tasks without any problem. I come to rely lot on others' suggestion who are better knowledgeable after coming to US and taking every situation as blessing of God.

So I requested help from my colleague and upon his suggestion I booked a rental truck at a nearby location. On that day we started around noon and went to the rental truck office. I took the truck with the courage summoned up and also with faith in God. We managed to go to my friend's place and both of us loaded the sofa set into the mini truck. From there I drove to my home on an unfamiliar route. We unloaded the sofa and took it up stairs all by ourselves. Then I drove back to the rental office which is again 25 miles, fill gas and return the truck.

The three hour experience of renting the truck and driving the truck with my little experience of driving and that too on an unfamiliar route without any problem and putting the sofa at home and coming back is something I will acknowledge went off quite smoothly with grace of God.

Achieving seemingly impossible tasks is surely divine blessing and experience I would like to share with other devotees.
