Reminded by God

Every time I need to drive to work alone, I have to cross toll booth where I need to pay toll of 2 dollars. To make it easy for me to pay money I make it a point to take money from my purse and keep the money in my shirt pocket. I will not have to struggle to reach my purse when it is time to pay toll. Whenever I do this I take precaution to pick only 1 dollar bills (notes). In US all denominations of currency are of the same size. It is easy to give away wrong amount if we don't watch. 

A few weeks back as per habit I checked carefully and kept 2 dollars bills in my shirt pocket. As I started from home to work, I crossed the first signal and at that time I felt as if someone was telling me that I made a mistake. It was unique, I distinctly felt as if someone was knocking inside my head and telling me: "you fool, better check your pocket again". Since I felt this feeling very strongly, I immediately checked my pocket and found that I picked up a $10 note instead of $1 dollar note. 

It was one of the rare occasions I made a mistake despite my precautions and I felt I was reminded by God of my mistake. 

Accident Averted

 This happened quite a few months ago. I was going to work with my colleague. And since my colleague was driving I was talking and he was listening to me and was also driving. We cross a bridge and there is a signal after the bridge. The speed limit there is 50 mph (miles per hour) and since it is a regular route we were cruising at the normal speed and at the same time discussing some interesting topic. Suddenly my colleague noticed that traffic ahead had stopped and we were still speeding. Fortunately my friend noticed it and immediately applied break. Normally stopping at that high speed will make the car skid. But at that particular time I noticed that the car stopped without any skidding and we stopped normally as if we applied brakes normally. 

It was a blessing of God that saved us.
