Help in form of auto driver |
After taking initiation from Guruji, I did my pooja as per his instructions. During this period a monkey used to come home almost every day and we used to give a banana to it.
Three months of illness and diet restrictions [1] have left me quite a weak person and it took me months before I gained my normal strength. I still have some after effects of the illness.
During August 2000, my in-laws visited us on their way back from US. They visited US for a two month period and came to Madras before going back to Rajahmundry. My mother-in-law wanted to go shopping in Madras. I agreed to accompany her. After lunch we started for T.Nagar and we had to walk half a kilometre to get an auto. Since I was still feeling weak, I was thinking I cannot walk and wished an auto will come to pick us. We can see the autos in 200 metres distance but no auto nearby. I have had quite a few bad experiences in Madras with auto drivers. They are sometimes rude and don't come to places we want and ask for more money than usual. On this day, as I was wishing one auto driver came to us and stopped by us. He didn't even ask us where we want to go and forced us to sit in auto immediately. We sat and he took the 200 metre distance and told us, he does not want to come to T. Nagar and dropped us off at the auto stand where there are more autos. The person who drove us those 200 metres was a little old and wearing a tilak. This was quite unexpected behavior from an auto driver compared to my earlier experiences. And only after coming back from shopping I was narrating this experience to my parents and then I realized it was grace of Lord Hanuman who understood my trouble and sent someone to help us.
As I recollect these experiences I realize how fortunate I have been and fills me with gratitude and love for God. These spiritual experiences strengthen our faith and keep away the doubts that pop up in our minds.
